Organic Pure Silk Cocoons
Contains 25 - 30 individual cocoons
£5.00 Silk cocoons are produced by the Silkworm (Bombyx mori) and contain two proteins; fibroin, which is the structural centre of the silk; and sericin which coats the fibres and allows them to stick together.
Sericin can be found in many anti-aging products as well as other cosmetics. Silk proteins can have water-binding properties to help preserve the skin’s moisture content. Soak a single cocoon in hand-hot water, long enough to soften the silk cocoon and release the sericin. Place the softened cocoon onto your fingertip and gently massage over your face and neck. The textured surface of the cocoon will also provide a gentle exfoliation, leaving your skin smooth and silky. After use pat skin dry and moisturise as normal Each cocoon can be used 2-3 times.
